Client Environment

Assuming that the solution has been implemented within the Client’s environment (i.e. not a Software as a Service implementation), the Client’s hardware, network, and internet connectivity and bandwidth must be adequate and properly configured for the operation of the Verne product (operating in conjunction with any other product and application being run by the Client).

Foster Moore will advise the Client of the minimum specifications required to properly operate and support Verne within the Client’s environment, and in certain instances, Foster Moore may provide tips and recommendations for improving the performance of Verne; however, diagnostic determination and analysis and subsequent fine-tuning or improvement of components at the hardware and network-level remains the responsibility of the Client.

Foster Moore will not be responsible for any issue related to the operation and support of the Verne product (including, without limit, slow running) to the extent it is caused by the Client’s environment failing to meet the minimum specifications advised by Foster Moore.

Unsupported Client Environments

Foster Moore is not required to support any Client environment that is not supported by the vendors of the products (including, but not limited to hardware, operating system, compilers, RDBMS versions, Web servers) that make up that environment. A product will be considered to be supported where the Client has a written agreement in place with the relevant vendor for the ongoing support and/or maintenance of that product.

Unsupported Third Party Environments

Foster Moore relies on a variety of products developed by third-party vendors to establish an appropriate environment for running an implementation, which may include but are not limited to: –

  • Operating Systems;
  • Programming Languages;
  • Database Management Systems;
  • Application/Middleware Servers;
  • Web Servers;
  • Device Drivers;
  • Enterprise Service Buses;
  • Redaction Software;
  • Network Services;
  • Search Engines.

While Foster Moore makes every effort to ensure the broadest possible Product compatibility is achieved, it is not possible to test every combination. Untested configurations are considered unsupported environments. An issue must be reproducible within a supported environment before an investigation can be undertaken. If you require confirmation of whether a configuration is supported, please contact your Foster Moore relationship manager.

Supported Platforms

Foster Moore has a policy of supporting Verne within supported platforms identified by Foster Moore. A supported platform typically includes, but is not specifically identified as, hardware, operating system, compilers, RDBMS versions, and Web servers. Platforms containing components that are older than those that Verne was originally built on are not supported. For information on whether a platform or component is supported, please contact your Foster Moore relationship manager.

Individual Product documentation exists and provides details on supported platforms. The Verne Product Suite is only supported on platforms identified within this document.
