Trademarks Register

The trademark register allows for the registration and maintenance of two type of Marks:

Trademark – The word, name, symbol, device or any combination of words, names, symbols or devices used by a person to identify and distinguish the goods made or sold by that person, including a unique product from those manufactured or sold by others and to indicate the source of the goods, even if that source is unknown.
Service mark – The mark used to identify a service rather than a product. A service mark differs from a trademark in that the mark is used for the advertising of services rather than on the packaging or delivery of the service.

Features

The following features are available for a Verne Trademark Register:

Allows a user to register a mark. In some jurisdictions the type of mark will be defined, e.g. trademark or service mark.

Renew the mark registration.

Allows a user to change the name or address or trademark owner or assign the trademark to another owner.

Allows a user to cancel the registration of a mark. For example when they mark is no longer required.

System triggered service when the mark owner is a registered business and that business is dissolved.

Compliance routines are configured to ensure a mark is expired if a renewal is not filed.

Ability for authorised internal users to correct details about a trademark or a filing associated with a trademark.

Ability to search and view trademarks on the register. By default the search is available to public.
