There are four register types, each that focuses on managing an entity type.
Business Register – holds the statutory information relating to corporate entities. The most common examples are corporations, limited companies, limited partnerships, not for profit companies (incorporated societies and clubs.)
Occupational Register – manages people or organisations that are registered under certain occupations or professions. Often these professions require a licensing component and potentially certification.
Secured Transaction Register – where financial interests in moveable assets are recorded and maintained. (These registries are known as Collateral Registries, Personal Property Securities Registers, or in the United States as a Uniform Commercial Code Revised Article 9 (UCC) register.)
Trademarks Register – registration and maintenance of two types of Marks: Trademarks and Service Marks.
Business Register
Business Registers are registers that hold the statutory information relating to corporate entities. The most common examples are corporations, limited companies, limited partnerships, not for profit companies (incorporated societies and clubs) along with multiple variations of these main types. Business registers are typically managed by central government agencies who have the statutory responsibility for the supervision of the formation, maintenance and cessation of these entities. Companies Register
The standard Company Register product has taken the ‘best of breed’ software tools both generally and specific to common registry management and aligned them with generic business software to provide a combined solution that meets the standard requirements necessary to administer the registry from an internal and external perspective. Business Names Register
The Business Names Register is a public register of business names. A business name is a name or title under which a person or entity conducts a business. The register of business names allows for name determination, reservation and registration. Read more
Occupational Register
An Occupational Register manages people or organisations that are registered under a certain occupation or profession. The register will provide certainty around a person or company that has been authorised to perform a particular function. Any role that is regulated by a jurisdiction is able to be managed, such as auditors, financial service providers, accountants, medical professionals, teachers and private investigators, as well as tradespeople such as electricians and gas fitters. There is commonly an ongoing compliance requirement such as an annual renewal or annual certification. Read more
Secured Transaction Register
A Secured Transaction Register manages the financial interests in moveable assets. They create, maintain and discharge financing statements and all the associated legislative obligations of the registrar, debtor and lender. These registries are known as Collateral Registries, Personal Property Securities Registers, or in the United States as a Uniform Commercial Code Revised Article 9 (UCC) register. Read more
