Do automate actions not labels
When automate the screens make sure to automate an action not expect always a text. For example on the next screen we want to automate actions
- Enter text in Enter proposed company name
- Select option Ltd from dropdown suffix
- Click radio button Yes in radio button group Have own Constitution
- Select option February from dropdown Annual return filing month
- Click radio button Yes in radio button group Will the company have an ultimate company?
- Click button continue
- Click button Save and Exit
- Click button Cancel
Above examples are actions that can be automated
Do automate labels where no action
When automate the screens make sure to automate a label when no actions can be achieved.
- Expect service-title Registration of a Private Company
- Expect section-title General Details
- Expect hint Type your preferred name

Don’t automate labels where actions can be achieved
If there is a label that you can access via action (enter text, click, select, etc) that is the preferred way to automate
- Don’t expect text Enter Proposed Company Name
