Verne includes a flexible fee schedule that manages the collection and processing of fees for registry services. Fees and penalties are configured within the workflow and are charged on submission of a business service. All Verne registers are implemented with standard fees defined during the design and these can be changed at any time.
Verne allows the following to be configured for any service in a register:
- Fee for the service, including the:
- Currency
- Amount
- Tax
- Description
- Penalty fee, if any, due to late payment of the original fee, including the:
- Currency
- Amount
- Tax
- Description
- Penalty period details
One business service can have multiple fees associated with it, they can also be applied conditionally depending on the content of the application form (called "complex fees"). The presenter of the application can see all the fees that are to be paid as they fill in the form, this information is taken directly from the fee configuration.
