Verne provides registry staff with a number of internal services to perform typical back-office entity administration functions. This includes the following:
- Maintain entity flags
- Maintain entity status
- Suppress data on the register
- File notes
- Correct approved entity data (Correct the Register)
- Manage entity compliance
Maintain entity flags
Non-legislative data maintenance within the register allows flags to be set to control the behaviour of an entity on the register. If any of these flags are set to true, a reason must be entered.
The following flags are available for maintenance:
| Flag | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Suppress From Public Search | The Company will therefore only be visible to internal users. If an entity is suppressed from public search the Company will not be returned in search results if an external user performs the search. If an external user has authority over the entity they will be unable to select the Company from their My Items list. If an external user is watching the Company they will be unable to select the Company from their Watched Items list. |
| Exempt From Removal | If an entity is exempt from removal it can be excluded from any compliance jobs or day end jobs that attempt to remove the Company from the register. The compliance job or day end job rules should always define whether or not the exempt from removal flag should be checked before removing the entity. |
| Suspend Authority Management | Suspending authority management means that any external user with authority over the entity will be treated as if they do NOT have authority. Therefore they will be unable to maintain the entity. |
Maintain entity status
This service allows an internal user to change the status of an entity. This is often as a result of a document lodged to the registrar or other manual intervention. A registrar’s notice of change of status will need to be displayed in the filing history showing the reason for the change of status.
It can be used by internal users to remove an entity from the register, in the following situations:
- By request of the entity;
- Deemed ineligible;
- Misuse/fraud;
- Duplicate.
Or to restore an entity to the register, in the following situations:
- An error was made in previous entity cancellation/removal
