Verne™ has been designed from the ground-up to be extremely configurable, concurrently providing a platform that presents out-of-the-box best practice registries as a starting point.
The Verne™ Quick-Start templates follow best practice registry design and align to Foster Moore’s business registry patterns and UX. The business registry patterns are designed to support our client’s implementation of their registry processes ensuring they meet their regulatory and policy requirements through Verne™.
If these patterns do not match the processes that Verne™ supports by default, or through configuration, then customers can look to change the patterns to match their processes.
Adopt, Adapt or Customise
Verne™ provides many standard configuration touchpoints in its patterns for making changes to the standard processes. This enables support for different processes through configuration – this is referred to as ‘adopting‘ Verne™. Through these standard touchpoints, the product implementation teams can modify the behaviour, user interface and user experience, integrations, application components and standard business processes. Although some areas of adoption can be more time-consuming than others – even at these standard touchpoints – adoption is the most common approach for configuration.
There are many other touchpoints in Verne™ where more advanced configuration changes are possible. The requirements of more complex business processes may require configuration changes outside of the standard touchpoints – leading to ‘adapting‘ Verne™ to complex, specific business process. Furthermore, in some cases, where neither adopting or adapting is enough, customisation may be required.
The following diagrams describe some common business registry patterns, indicating configurable steps and highlighting common areas of adoption.
