a. Setup Bitbucket account

To obtain the configuration source users must request their account to be linked to the bitbucket repository, For this process, users must first complete the following instructions

Initial Registration

1.Create an Atlassian Account. If you already have Single Sign on services please make sure to select the right one from the list. In most cases is Continue with Microsoft.

2.Once the email is registered, users must send an email to sd@fostermoore.com with the subject Bitbucket account – Verne-training and request to be invited to a repository located at https://bitbucket.org/fostermoore/super-heroes/.

3.Once the email is registered on Bitbucket, users will receive an invitation email

Accept the Invitation by clicking the Accept invitation button

Once the Invitation it’s accepted users will need to Setup a username

After press Continue you will be presented with a with the invitation. In some cases Bitbucket will request to answer some User experience questions, please Skip the step

Create app password

Once the account is created one more step is required to obtain the password to access the service. The app password will generate a unique random password that will allow access to the repository while cloning it. The steps to obtain the password are:

1. Click the Icon with the name initials
2. Select Personal settings
3. Select App passwords
4. Create app password

1. Set a bitbucket label for example bitbucket-password

1. Select Repositories Write

7. Press create Please make sure the password is saved in a secure place before press Close. Once the popup is closed the password will disappear.

Now the Bitbucket setup is complete users can continue repository cloning process.
